To create a custom test:*
1. Go to Custom Tests from the top navigation
2. Fill in the Create Custom Test form:
- Test Name (required) — e.g. "Queens College Test", "Shuttle Sprint", "Wall Sit"
- Description — A brief explanation of the test (optional but helpful for students)
- Category (required) — Select which fitness category it belongs to (Aerobic Endurance/Power, Muscular Endurance, Muscular Strength, Muscular Power, Agility, Flexibility, Anaerobic Power, or Body Composition)
- Unit (required) — The measurement unit, e.g. "reps", "seconds", "meters", "kg", "level"
- Scoring — Choose whether Higher is better (e.g. distance, reps) or Lower is better (e.g. time)
- Min Value — The minimum expected score (e.g. 0)
- Max Value — The maximum expected score (e.g. 100)
3. Click Create Test
Your test immediately appears in the School Tests table and is available for all students in your school.
Tips:
- Set sensible min/max values to help validate student input (prevents accidental typos)
- Choose the correct scoring direction — this affects how results are interpreted
- Pick the right category so the test appears in the logical place alongside related built-in tests
